Weekly launches roundup
What actually changed in the directory this week: new listings, merged duplicates, corrected pricing and refreshed shortlists.
Directory changes
- Duplicates merged. We consolidated 45 product groups that had been imported under multiple slugs, removing 66 redundant records. Votes, views and ratings were merged rather than discarded, keeping the highest verified values.
- Total listings. The directory now stands at 4,921 tools across 26 categories after cleanup.
- Categories consolidated. Over a thousand tag-like categories were mapped into practical browsing groups, and each group now has its own landing page.
Pricing corrections
Unverified "free" labels were removed across the dataset. Pricing badges now appear only where we could read a published plan, and the directory filters were narrowed to freemium, paid and enterprise.
Shortlist refreshes
The "best of" shortlists were regenerated from current votes, ratings and page views, then re-checked by hand for topical fit. Several tools dropped out for being aggregator listings rather than standalone products.
What is coming next
Deeper editorial reviews on the highest-traffic categories, verified pricing tables on individual listings, and head-to-head comparison pages for the pairs readers put in the compare tray most often.
